anyways today i'm tackling bags' playlist while i continue to write the next chapter , which includes a narrative so that's why it's taking so long

- this song is just pure gay pining && captures holly && calypso's relationship later in the book really well bc there's going to be this thing between them where they like each other but don't know that the other person likes them back  ( tell me why this happens in every wlw && mlm fic i read - ) so there's a lot of tiptoeing in terms of their feelings 

song two : hnly - haley kiyoko

- i feel this song really captures holly's thoughts about leo && calypso's relationship && how she feels that calypso deserves better than leo

song three : explosion - zolita 

- pretty self explanatory , the song is about falling in love with ur bsf && that's exactly what happens to holly && calypso 

song four : lucky - glee cast

- tbh there's not a really good reason why i included this , i just wanted to start incorporating glee covers into my fic playlists + there's this one line in the song that says " lucky i'm in love with my best friend " && i thought it sorta matched holly && calypso's relationship . overall it's just a soft love song 

song five : iwbygf - girl in red

- i had to include at least one girl in red song in the playlist ( actually so far , all the songs except for lucky ( well actually i have heard rumors of dianna being sapphic && she did say she kissed girls - ) but anyway , all the songs are by wlw/sapphic artists ! ) plus holly doesn't want to be calypso's friend , she wants to kiss her lips 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩 ( pls i didn't say the explanations were gonna be good )

song six : pink in the night - mitski

- i am absolutely IN LOVE with mitski , i love her as a person && her songs are such bops ! ( we're also continuing on the wlw artist train here 😽 ) pink in the night is just about being so in love with someone that you glow pink ( or blush ) at just the thought of them . i think it could work for either calypso or holly but it doesn't really make sense from where we are in the book rn but i'll probably write a scene inspired by this song to make it make a lil more sense .

- so true , another wlw artist ! to me , this song is just about sapphic pining && not wanting to wait any longer for a relationship to happen ? definitely from holly's pov

- this is their song !! like i might include them listening to this bc they can honestly relate sm . " i wanna ruin our friendship , we should be lovers instead " pretty much sums up holly && calypso's relationship . ( cishets on tiktok kinda ruined this song for me for a while lmao )
